Please join Prof. Kate Crosby for two talks about Buddhist Meditation on Mar 30(Thu) and 31(Fri) at UVA.
There will be two talks;
- Specialized talk(Mar 30, 6:30-8PM) : Preconceptions, Secrecy and Access: the Challenges of Pursuing Practice in Pre-reform Theravada Meditation @MAURY Hall 115
- Public talk(Mar 31, 12-1:30PM) : Buddhist Meditation as Technology and the Effects of Modernity @MAURY Hall 209
Kate Crosby is Professor of Buddhist Studies in the department of Theology and Religious Studies at King’s College, London.
