CSAIL ALLIANCES STARTUP CONNECT- TECH TALK AND NETWORKING EVENT

TECH TALK

4-5:15PM

Stata Center- Hewlett Conference Room G882

We invite you to come learn about a few members of the CSAIL Startup Connect Program. CSAIL Alliances Startup Connect is a program through CSAIL Alliances that connects early stage CSAIL startups back to the lab.

Our startups will present on their company's technical focus, current projects, and future vision.

Presentations from-

Cambridge Telematics

Founded in 2010 by two MIT professors and experienced entrepreneurs, CMT pioneered telematics for behavior-based insurance (BBI) and deployed the first solution to provide both traditional vehicle-centric UBI and BBI. With over a billion miles of driving data, CMT has a proven record of changing driver behavior: an average reduction of 35% in phone distraction, 20% in hard braking, and 20% in at-risk speeding all within less than 30 days of using the program. With DriveWell, insurers report fast customer growth (e.g., 2x growth rate compared to earlier), lower loss ratios (e.g., 34% lower crash rates, 19% less-severe claims, and 10% lower loss ratio compared to blackboxes), and greater customer retention rates.

Composable Analytics

Composable Analytics is an enterprise-grade analytics ecosystem built for business users that want to architect data intelligence solutions that leverage disparate data sources, live feeds, and event data regardless of the format or structure of the data.

With a modern, intuitive dataflow visual designer, built-in services to facilitate data engineering, and a composable architecture that enables abstraction and integration of any software or analytical approach, Composable Analytics is the leading integrated development environment to discover, manage, transform and analyze enterprise data.

Emu Technologies

Emu Technology turns the age-old computing challenge of moving massive chunks of data to a CPU on its head, instead moving small compute contexts TO the data. Our Migratory Thread architecture is designed for today's Big Data analytics with integrated AI, and utilizes Cilk in an easy to program Linux environment. Emu's systems are also eco-friendly, providing a significant reduction in watts needed to power them.

Gradient Technologies

Gradient is high-performance decentralized infrastructure, built on secure hardware and an anonymity-preserving trust based network. Our mission is to redefine how our electronic devices—and ourselves—work together, enabling open collaboration without compromising security or integrity.

Hosta Labs

Hosta enables anyone to easily convert photos of living and work spaces into intelligent 3D models for managing spaces.

Overjet
Dental care is expensive and inconvenient for millions of Americans as it is currently provided with antiquated technology in offices with high overheads. Overjet solves this problem by introducing an innovative distributed dental care model that leverages artificial intelligence and advanced dental technologies to reduce costs and improve quality of care. Overjet is re-inventing the patient experience and makes dental care affordable and convenient for everyone.

Return to Corp. (R2C)

We’re a startup developing a global platform for developers, security teams, and researchers to compare the safety of open source projects and collaborate to improve the security of the software we all rely on every day.

Our platform automatically scrutinizes and ranks code from the entire software ecosystem, seeking out vulnerabilities, questionable practices, and examples of excellence from tech giants and open source leaders. Our work aims to elevate the conversation about coding with confidence in security to help the community and companies alike protect themselves

We encourage anyone interested in the startup community to attend!
