Demand for novel approaches to the analysis of sports data has been on the rise over the last decade in professional, amateur and collegiate sports. The Sports Analytics Laboratory at Harvard University is meeting this demand through dedication to the advancement and development of innovative statistical methods applied to games and sports and now functions as the hub of sports statistics scholarly research at Harvard.

Dr. Laurie Shaw, a senior research associate in the Sports Analytics Lab, will talk about the growing influence of data and the Lab’s research across a range of sports and discuss how it could be applied to gain a competitive edge.

Please join us for an entertaining and informative evening as Dr. Shaw discusses the impact of sports analytics and invites your debate and questions.

We’re serving everyone’s favorite Chinese appetizers and there will be a full cash bar.
