COST: Per Person for 3 nights

Early Registration until October 13: $300 (€270) - full conference, inclusive*. Registration is for one person but cost assumes 2 people per room. You will be paired with another delegate if registering alone. No single or family rooms are available. *Check-in 11 November. Check out 14 November. Meals include Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner.

CHILDREN: Kids 12 years and older: full price. Kids 12 years younger: No Charge.

ADDITIONAL NIGHTS FOR THOSE ARRIVING EARLY OR STAYING LATE: For any night at Alpha Conference Centre before 11 November or after 14 November the cost will be R920.00 ($70) per person. This includes breakfast. Multiple hotels are available very near the OR Tambo International Airport, with easy access to restaurant and shopping malls.

CASH: South African Rand (ZAR) is the currency. There are ATMs and exchange points in the airport to get cash.

AIRPORT TRANSFER: JNB - O.R. Tambo International Airport, Johannesburg, South Africa. The conference center is approximately 1-hour drive from the JNB airport. There is a transfer shuttle available at an approximate cost of R950 ($70) one-way for the first 2 people and each additional person is R50 ($4). It is advantageous to share a shuttle. The shuttle is cash only. ATMs are available at the airport.

VISAS: Nationals of 76 nations can get a visa on arrival. For those not eligible for a visa on arrival, please see this list of South Africa's diplomatic missions

LETTERS OF INVITATION: You can get a letter from the UPCSA. Please send the secretary a sample of what you would want them to say in the invitation letter. It should include passport information, as well as anything else you feel, should be included. The Secretary who would prepare these letters is Cheslynnre Edwards. His email address is

Optional Activities: Below is information provided for an optional Safari after the CRS.

Following is the information for the proposed wild game safari to Kruger Park (South Africa)


  • 2 – 4 guests – R6 700,00 (+/- $450)
  • 5 – 7 guests – R7 200,00 (+/- $485)
  • 8+ guests – R7 600,00 (+/- $510)

Please note these are daily rates. I have tentatively arranged for a 2-day safari. Therefore the amounts listed here will be doubled.

Please note the reason for the +/- is the rate of the Euro or US dollar against the SA Rand can vary day by day.

The larger the group in the open-top vehicle, the less each one pays. The vehicles can hold up to 9 people. If there are more than 9 people, two vehicles will be needed and at the above rates per vehicle.

The daily Kruger Park Conservation fees per person per day are:

  • International adults – R400,00 (+/- $30)
  • International children – R200,00 (+/- $15)

The tour company will arrange transportation from the Alpha Centre to Kruger Park on Thursday, November 14, and then back to O.R. Tambo airport in Johannesburg on Sunday, November 17. Prices are as follows:

  • Option 1 (12 Seater Quantum Van R15,500 (+/- $1,125)
  • Option 2 (20 Seater Crafter Van) R19,500 (+/- $1,325)

PLEASE NOTE the price quotes for transportation reflect the total cost of the vehicle to be divided among the passengers.

Lodging accommodations at Kruger Park for November 14-17 (checking in on 11/14 and out on 11/17). Excluding food, will be around $100/room/day.

PLEASE NOTE that a deposit is required to secure a reservation. This will need to be made as quickly as possible. This deposit will need to be made to the tour company to their bank account. Details will be provided.
