AT THE CROSSROADS OF THE HEMISPHERE.

FEBRUARY 24 – 26, 2020 • BROWNSVILLE, TEXAS

Crossroads is a 3 day festival held in Brownsville, Texas that will provide opportunities for learning, networking and innovation through a collaboration of paths in film, music, food, politics, art and innovation.

The three-day event will be held during Brownsville’s 87th annual Charro Days Fiesta Celebration week, where the sister cities of Brownsville, Texas and Matamoros, Tamaulipas, Mexico continue to celebrate the region’s unique heritage and strong roots that bond both sides of the Rio Grande.

FILM

Showcasing films and workshops from the United States and Mexico, the film tract of the Crossroads Festival is hosted in part by Actor RJ Mitte of AMC’s ‘Breaking Bad,’ the Brownsville Film Society, Tecnológico de Monterrey – Escuela de Arte Digital, Universidad de Monterrey, the University of Texas at Austin School of Communication Radio, Television & Film, University of Southern California School of Film. Screenings will premiere local and international films, some showcasing for the very first time.

MUSIC

KINKY, The Warning, Mitch Bradford, Austin Meade, Twin Tribes, and so much more! The music portion of Crossroads will feature a diverse lineup every evening. Two separate stages will present a lineup comprised of international emerging and established artists. The stunning backdrop of our Historic Downtown architecture will provide the setting for this event during our famed Charro Days week.

FOOD

Enjoy exclusive culinary events with your favorite Taco & BBQ Editors of Texas Monthly Magazine, an Open Fire BBQ Party with Grillmaster Art Ramon II in Historic Downtown Brownsville, sponsored by Four Corners Brewing Company.

ART

One of the largest collections of authentic indigenous textiles, accessories, and folk arts of North, Central, and South America spanning over centuries will be showcased alongside private boutique fashion collections from local businesses and one-of-a-kind private art collections. See original native garments spanning from Alaska to Argentina.
