Description

Master's Melee is the inaugural CrossFit competition for master's athletes (ages 40+) hosted by CrossFit Conation. The event will be held at CrossFit Conation located at 40 Rabro Drive, Hauppauge, NY 11788 on Saturday, September 23, 2017. There will be an RX and a Scaled division for both Men and Women. This is an individual competion with 3 events plus a final for the top four athletes in each division. While the official scoring and podium will be only for the four aforementioned divisions, we will also post your results based on your gender/age group at the end of the competition.

*Spectators will be $5 at the door.

Here are the following movements that will need to be performed by athletes in each division:

RX Men: 50# DB Snatch, 24" Box Jump Over, Toes To Bar, 53# Kettlebell Swing, Rope Climbs, 75# Thrusters

RX Women: 35# DB Snatch, 20" Box Jump Over, Toes To Bar, 35# Kettlebell Swing, Rope Climbs, 55# Thrusters

Scaled Men: 35# DB Snatch, 20" Box Jump Over(Step-ups allowed), Ab-Mat Situps, 35# Kettlebell Swing, Lateral Burpees over the bar, 45# Thrusters

Scaled Women: 20# DB Snatch, 16" Box Jump Over (Step-ups allowed), Ab-Mat Situps, 26# Kettlebell Swing, Lateral Burpees over the bar, 35# Thrusters

Workout #1

With an 8 minute running clock...
2 Minutes of Max Effort KBS,
Directly into 6 minutes to establish the heaviest weight possible in the following complex,
Clean + Hang Clean

-This workout will be scored as two separate events, The first score is for the total amount of Kettlebell Swings completed within the 2 minute window. The second score for the amount of weight in the heaviest successful clean complex.

For Time (8 Minute Time Cap)

40 DB Snatch
30 Box Jump Overs
20 TTB (Sit-ups for scaled)

-DB Snatch must alternated arms

-Box Jump Overs for RX athletes must be a two foot take off to get on top of the box. Once on top of the box the athlete may jump down or step down so long as their hands do not touch the box at any time during the movement.

-Every rep not completed will be added as one second to the 8:00 time cap.
