Join us at Crossfit 47 for the Barbell Brawl!


  • This is a M/F partnered competition with both Rx and Scaled divisions.

  • Competition T-shirt is included in the registration fee. T-shirt size is guaranteed if registration is completed before April 22nd.

  • Athlete check-in will begin at 7:45am.

  • Early Bird discount registration availble until February 18th.

  • Competition registration closes on May 6th.




WOD #1


Rx and Scaled

Athletes will have 10 minutes to find combined total for a 2 rep max thruster.

Score is the combined weight total of both team members.

Wod #1 standards:

  • For each thruster, the hip crease must pass below the knees. A full squat clean into the thruster is allowed. The barbell must come to full lockout overhead with the hips, knees and arms fully extended, and the bar directly over the heels. Athlete may pause with the bar in the front rack position for no more than 5 seconds before the start of the second thruster rep, but the bar may not be dropped. Control of the bar must be established at the top of the thruster. Athlete may not throw the bar to finish the final rep.

One male (45#) and one female (33#) bar will be available for each team. Teams can use the time however they choose, but only one member can work at a time and athletes much change their own weights.

Wod will be completed relay style. Each athlete must complete the total number of reps for each movement before his/her teammate then completes the same number of reps for the same movement. For example, partner one completes 20 C2B pull-ups, then partner 2 completes 20 C2B pull-ups, partner 1 then moves on to complete 40 double-unders followed by partner 2 completing 40 double-unders. One person working at a time.

WOD #2 Rx Standards:

  • Pull-ups begin with the athlete hanging at full extension. Athlete’s chest must make contact with the bar for every rep. Athlete must also reach full extension at the bottom for the rep to count. Any grip style is accepted as long as full extension is reached at the bottom of each rep.
  • Du - The rope must pass under the athletes' feet twice for each jump. The rope must spin forward for the rep to count. Only successful jumps are counted, not attempts.
  • Box Jump Overs - Athlete must start and end the jump on opposite sides of the box. Both feet much touch the floor at the end of the rep. Hands may not be used to assist in getting over the box. Jumping over the box without making contact with the feet IS allowed. Full extension of the hips and knees at the top of the box is not required.

Wod #2 Scaled Standards:

  • For jumping pull-ups, the top of the athletes head must be at least 6 inches from the pull up bar. Pull-ups begin with the athlete hanging at full extension. Athlete's chin must go over the bar at the top of the rep and arms must again reach full extention at the bottom.
  • Single unders are completed with the jump rope passing under the athletes feet one time. Rope must be moving forward.
  • Box Step Overs - Athlete must start and end the rep on opposite sides of the box. Both feet much touch the floor at the end of the rep. Hands may not be used to assist in getting over the box. Full extension of the hips and knees at the top of the box is not required.


Wod #3 Rx

For time:

100 wall balls 20/14 to an 8ft (f) or 10ft (m) target

One person working at a time. Partners may split reps however they wish. All reps must be completed before moving on to the next movement.

Wod #3 Rx Standards

  • Wall Balls - at the beginning of each rep, the medicine ball must be taken from the bottom of a squat, hip crease below the knee, and thrown to hit the specified target. The center of the ball must hit the target at or above the specified target height. If the ball hits low or does not hit the wall, it is a no rep.
  • Cleans - Each rep starts with the bar on the ground. The rep is complete when the athlete’s hips and knees are fully extended, and the bar is resting on the shoulders in the front rack position with the elbows in front of the bar.
  • Toes to Bar - each rep starts with athlete hanging from the bar at full extension. Both feet must make contact with the bar at the same time. Feet must break the frontal plane of bar at the bottom of each rep.
  • Shoulder to overhead - strict press, push press, push jerk or split jerk are all permitted. Rep is counted when the athlete reaches full extension with the arms locked out, the bar overhead, and feet together.


Wod # 3 Scaled

For time:

100 wall balls 16/10 to an 8 (f) or 10 (m) foot target

One person working at a time. Partners may split reps however they wish. All reps must be completed before moving on to the next movement.

Wod #3 Scaled Standards

Wod 4 (floater)

Wod #4 will be done at the athletes descretion, but must be completed at the WOD station before 1:30 PM. Teammates must complete their reps consecutively.

Wod #4 Rx

Max Reps HSPU in 1 minute

Wod 4 standards:

  • Athletes will complete as many reps as possible of HSPU in one minute. Reps do not have to be consecutive. Athletes may come off the wall and no-reps do not end the attempt. Athletes will continue attempts at successful HSPU for 60 seconds.
  • CrossFit Games standards will be used for HSPU. The height of the athletes wrists will be marked with the athlete standing facing the wall with feet at hip width and toes touching the wall, hands stretched up over head with elbows straight, shoulders extended and thumbs touching. Mark will be made 3 inches below the wrist line on the wall. Athletes heels must go above the marked line for the rep to count.

Wod #4 Scaled

Max effort handstand hold

  • Athletes will stay in a handstand hold for as long as possible. Games standards will be used to mark the required height of the handstand hold. Athletes will be given a 4 inch clearance from the measurment of the wrist. Athletes must keep their heels about the marked line for the duration. Once the heels fall below the marked line or the athlete comes off the wall, the attept is over.
