Event description

During this 90-minute online learning event, participants will learn the basic Cultural Detective Method for bridging cultures. You will learn to leverage similarities and diversity as assets, and avoid the enormous downsides of minimizing difference. You will experience some of the wealth of content and process available in the Cultural Detective Online system, and see how easily it can be incorporated into existing courseware. At the conclusion of the online learning event, we will share with you a three-day free pass to the Cultural Detective Online, to look around and learn at your leisure.

Times displayed are Los Angeles, California, USA time. Please consult a world time converter to make sure time and date are convenient for you before you register. Generally speaking this time is most convenient for Asia, Oceania and the Americas. We offer the same webinar every-other-month at times convenient to Americas, Europe, Africa, the Middle East and Western or Central Asia.

After registering, please take a very brief survey (2 minutes) to help us customizethe online learning event to your interests and experience:

Please plan to plug in your headset and test your sound before logging in. Join us ten minutes prior to the webinar to get acquainted. You may be prompted to download an Adobe Connect AddIn if you haven't previously done so.

Please enter the room as Guest, typing in your name so we can admit you (use the name with which you registered please).

Please shut down other applications in order to increase your bandwidth during the online learning session. This will be an active session, and it uses Flash, so please do not plan to log in from an iPhone while driving. Likewise, audio-only will not be of much value, as we will be reading and watching as well as talking.

For tablet or smartphone users: CD Online works great on those devices, but please note that while Adobe Connect Mobile—to access our online training room—is a fully supported app, it only contains a subset of the functionality of Adobe Connect for the desktop. We welcome attendees on mobile devices, but please note that previous attendees have had minor technical issues (such as inability to see slides) during our session.

Those who are not registered will not be permitted to enter the room. Thank you! We look forward to "seeing" you soon!
