It's full-swing season on local farms, and our farmers need your help for real. This June, we're going to beat the heat and head up to the North Georgia mountains to help out the Biodynamic wonder, Sun Dog Farm. If you've never been to their farm, you're in for a real treat. Plus, it's about a solid 10 degrees cooler, so that's pretty awesome.
We'll be moving bamboo, clearing some land and generally making things farmsexy. Plus it's an awesome way to learn about biodynamic principles, as Darby and Elliot will give folks a tour of the farm when we're done working. (Plus, there are lambs and ducks and dogs and cats and chickens and guinea hens!) We're hoping to get some delicious food donated by a local chef, but we're also encouraging people to bring a dish along to share. You can never have too much food.
Since it's a bit of a drive, we'll be starting work at 10:30 and wrapping up around 2:30 (though continuing to work into the afternoon is certainly not discouraged). Aaaaannnnd, you are more than welcome to stay the evening and camp. Be sure to bring instruments, smores, singing songs, ghost stories and merriment. So eat a hearty breakfast, head for the hills and we'll see you there!
