Description

This 2-day event (September 19 & 20) will provide training in Critical Time Intervention, a time-limited, intensive case management model designed to help people with mental illness successfully navigate critical transitions: from being homeless to being housed, or from a hospital or other institution to the community. CTI is a team-based model, led by a licensed clinician. It focuses on engagement strategies and meeting basic and social needs as essential steps toward recovery. Participants need to be present for both full days to receive a certificate of completion.

Objectives:

To learn and understand:

  • The CTI model and history of evidence base
  • CTI Service Definition policy and requirements
  • Tools used in CTI practice and fidelity monitoring
  • Recovery principles and framework
  • Engagement and psychoeducation strategies
  • Finding community resources and developing community partnerships
