CRITICAL HAPPY HOUR
Event Information
Description
Critical Happy Hour is a series of events hosted by QSPACE and f-architecture that examines how design thinking and critical discourse can create change. This month, we're talking about activism in the academy.
Although accomplishing anything outside of “studio work” can seem unfathomable, student activists groups at GSAPP have prioritized political action this year, responding to the election with protest and calls for fellow students to question and articulate their values as architects.
The CHH team has reached out to QSAPP, A-Frame, and GSAPP-XX to lead a conversation about the impact of the election on their individual and collective goals both within the studio and beyond, particularly as many of them move into professional practice.
Join us to delve the into successes, failures, and opportunities of activism in the space of the academy.
