About the Workshop:

Caregivers provide an essential role in health care decisions. Having a health care plan is important at all stages of life and illness. Knowing the individual preferences, and what give a person meaning, helps health care providers in determining what types of treatment might be acceptable. It is important for caregivers to know what future decisions might need to be made, and how to advocate for their loved one, before a crisis. This workshop will assist caregivers and families learn about decision-making and resources available to create a solid crisis plan for health care decisions.

About the Presenter:

Anne Front, LMFT is a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist. She is a Certified Hospice and Palliative Care Social worker and Grief Recovery Specialist. She is the Palliative Care Counselor at Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital. She leads a Caregiver support group at the hospital. She teaches health care providers about advance care planning and caregiver issues. She provides community education to caregivers. She has a private psychotherapy practice in Studio City and specializes in relationships, depression, anxiety, chronic illness and health care advocacy.
