CIP training is for people who interact with people in a mental health crisis. Learn how to de-escalate and navigate the healthcare system.

About this event

This training is for Nebraska & Western Iowa only. In person training.

Crisis intervention partners is for any first responder or community member who interacts with a person in crisis. Learn to effectively de-escalate a person in crisis and navigate the healthcare system without involving law enforcement when possible.

This is a 2 day, in person workshop where topics will be focused on Mental Wellness, de-escalation, empathy building exercises, and impact panels.

Crisis Intervention Training (CIT) is a community initiative developed in Memphis, TN and used worldwide. In Nebraska, CIT training has been available to criminal justice professionals since 2006. Heartland CIT is committed to training community professionals to effectively navigate a mental health crisis.
