The Crisis Center of Comal County’s conference “Crimes Against Families” will provide technical training and awareness education for the three professions at the core of our mission: Law Enforcement, Legal Advocacy, and Service providers including counselors, social workers, psychiatrists, and psychologists. The one and a half day conference is set for 29 and 30 October at the McKenna Events center in New Braunfels. The conference will offer continuing education requirements for each discipline, plus opportunities for dialogue and cross training. Combining required training with educational programs valuable for all the disciplines has a powerful synergistic effect on strengthening communities.
