Description

This talk will explore Scotland's history with slavery through the material culture of the Glasgow Museums. These objects' direct and indirect links to the slave trade wll also illuminate Scotland's role in the Empire.

The lunchtime talks are taking place at the GoMA, the former home of William Cunninghame, a Scottish tobacco merchant who came to dominate and profit form the transatlantic slave trade.
