Event description

Description

Learn the art of paper flowers with Emily of Revery Paper Flora. Emily will teach the basics of European crepe paper along with the skills and techniques to create DC's own state flower, the rose. You will learn added skills like wiring and how the use of artist pastels can make your flower come to life. You'll complete one rose in class and take materials, templates and a detailed guide to make more at home. No more sad grocery store roses when you can create your own that are made to last.

About Emily Paluska:

Emily Paluska is the botanical artist behind Revery Paper Flora. She currently calls the Capitol Hill neighborhood of Washington, DC home. Emily has always been head over heels with all things botanical but the combination of not being able to keep plants alive and the short life cycle of some of her favorite flowers, made her look elsewhere. She discovered paper flowers in 2017 and hasn't looked back since. When she's not creating flowers for homes and shops around the country or teaching workshops around the District (+ Austin, TX), she is finding the balance between small business ownership and wrangling a baby and toddler.
