About The Panelists:

Benjamin Thomas is an engineer, producer, and mixer from Philadelphia, PA. He graduated from Temple University in 2018 with a degree in Entrepreneurial Studies and Innovation Management. With over 4 years of professional experience, he is known for his work in the Hip-Hop, R&B, and Gospel music genres, helping to shape the sound of Philadelphia in this time. In 2017, Ben had the opportunity to engineer "Insecure" which featured Jazmine Sullivan and Bryson Tiller, as well as work on Brian McKnight's album Genesis. This work earned Ben 3 NAACP Image and Soul Train award Nominations. Since then, Ben has had the opportunity to work with artists including: Lil Uzi Vert, Post Malone, Ty Dolla $ign, Jeremiah, Lil Dicky, Meek Mill, NLE Choppa, Donn T, Chill Moody, Jorja Smith, and many others. In 2020, Ben Opened his first commercial studio space, After5 Studios. In 2020, Ben earned his first Billboard #1 with his work on the ‘Pluto x Baby Pluto’ Album for Lil Uzi Vert and Future. Ben also worked on Ingrid Andress debut album, ‘Lady Like.’ which was nominated for a GRAMMY for Best Country Album.

Currently, Ben works out of After5 Studios. He is also a co-owner of nicethingsMUSIC, an independent record label & management company. Ben is also a former Governor on the board of the Philadelphia Chapter of The Recording Academy and is an active member in the Recording Academy. Outside of music, Ben has spent time editing podcasts for iHeart Radio’s 'Art of the Hustle' hosted by Ryan Leslie, as well as audio mixing work for the online TV Series 'Single and Anxious'.

Ariana M. Davis is a Software Engineer & Product Designer who has spent the last five years building and breathing life into digital products. Since her passions lie at the intersection of creative development and emerging technologies her goal is to inspire users and engage them through her work. Davis is also the co-founder for a startup called Beauty Slot, a beauty booking platform that creates & books last-minute hair appointments with ease.

Her hobbies include keeping up with web/design trends, reading, going to amusement parks, attending concerts and discovering new music. When her eyes aren’t glued to a computer screen you can find her advocating for diversity in the tech industry. Ariana takes pride in encouraging women of color in tech to continue striving for inclusion & breaking barriers.

Abu Fofanah is a digital strategist and entrepreneur. He is the CEO of a digital marketing agency called House of Fofanah, which is aimed at developing technology-focused solutions to help brands monetize their online communities. In 2019, Abu launched Power Your Launch Virtual Marketing Accelerator targeted to helping small business owners utilize digital marketing, specifically paid advertisement to excel in the growth of their business. Since its initiation in 2019, the Marketing Accelerator has helped over 5000 women of color founders begin monetizing their brands online and on social.
