Creativity reimagined: Is AI an Artist, a Tool, or a Thief?

Off the back of our sold-out Sydney AI event, we’re bringing this event to Melbourne!

Following the success of our previous AI event in Sydney, we're excited to host a thought-provoking follow-up discussion exploring the question: Creativity reimagined - Is AI an Artist, a Tool, or a Thief?

This session will feature a panel of experts, including

  • Josephine Johnston, the CEO of the Australian Copyright Agency
  • Travis Rice, the Co-Founder and Curator of the OMNI Generative Film Festival
  • Fiona Finn, Program Manager (Advertising), RMIT
  • Marie-Celine Merret, Curator AARON Awards

Together, they’ll unpack the legal, ethical, and cultural implications of AI-generated content, offering valuable insights into authorship, ownership, and creative rights in a rapidly evolving digital landscape. The session is moderated by Vinne Schifferstein, the Co-Founder AARON Awards.

This session takes place on Wednesday, February 18th with a sharp start at 9am until 10.30am. We invite everyone to arrive at 8.30am to grab a coffee beforehand.
