Cameras don't take pictures, people do. But cameras are not always easy to understand. Join professional photographer, Luis Escobar out in the field as he teaches techniques enabling you to turn everyday snapshots into beautiful compositions. You'll learn to see beyond your primary subject so that everything in the frame improves the image. We'll analyze numerous photographs as we discuss composition techniques, including eliminating distractions, utilizing human subjects, and using leading lines and the Rule of Thirds to create more dynamic images. Begin to shoot with an eye that draws the viewer's attention into a vibrant and stimulating photograph. Photographers of all levels using film or digital cameras are encouraged to attend. Bring your camera along with its owner's manual and a tripod.

The California Central Coast offers stunning and diverse photographic oppertunities from colorful beaches to pristine sand dunes, working cattle ranches, busy harbors and vibrant vineyards. This two day photography workshop will be customized for these unique locations. Local professional photographer, Luis Escobar will accompany you and a small group of students and put into practice expert composition instruction while in the field. Each day will bring a new experience, special lessons and the oppertunity to work with Luis one on one. Together you will spend two days capturing the variety of conditions and landscapes that are unique to the California Central Coast.
