Class Limited to 15 Participants
What: In this class we will explore more advanced writing concepts (tone, themes, motifs, metaphors, similes, plot structure). There will be an emphasis on analyzing short stories and mimicking various authors in order to help each individual writer find their own voice. We will use those explorations to create at least one well-crafted story that will be included in a class compilation book (if the student desires). We will publish the book and the student will receive one copy (additional copies can be purchased for $10 each). Students will be expected to read a book (TBD) prior to the class, and many discussions about the elements of creative writing will revolve around that book.
