For October's Creative Women event we have the wonderful Sarah J Perry joining us. Sarah is a very renowned embroidery artist and has worked for years producing beautiful work inspired by the feathered visitors in her garden.
From the outside, Sarah looks happy and content with her creative life, and her attendence at big craft events alongside her prominent textile workshops only adds to this. However, Sarah has made no secret of her 'hairy brown monster' that is imposter syndrome that has plagued her during her life.
Sarah says 'When one part of your mind comes up with the most amazing ideas, but another part makes you doubt yourself, it's time take charge and let your gift of creativeness take charge.
I'm not an expert, I'm just someone that's crumpled under the weight of self doubt and wants to help others see how destructive that 'hairy brown monster' at the back of your mind can be.'
Sarah has managed to overcome her imposter syndrome and go from strength to strength. Come and enjoy her stories as I know this will be a very engaging talk from a hugely inspiring artist.
As usual, there will be opportunity to network with other like minded creative women over lots of tea, coffee and cake!
Can't wait to see you,
Helen @ The Creative Business Network
