Creative Redevelopment in Our Region
Tuesday, April 23, 2013 from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM (EDT)
From large industrial sites to historic downtown business districts, communities large and small are tasked with finding creative ways to redevelop in the new economy. The tools and approaches are diverse – including new concepts in public space, public-private partnerships, and innovative financing mechanisms.
This training will offer case studies and discussion from a range of partners - small towns, CIDs, larger urban projects, and developers - on how they have seen success and what communities can be doing now to set the stage for development and redevelopment.
Participants will gain a better understanding of current market forces, new trends in catalyzing redevelopment, creative funding mechanisms, and new tools to help communities implement their vision.
This workshop will be held in the community space of Ponce City Market at 650 North Avenue NE, Atlanta GA 30308.
