The Design Files covers Australian design in all its forms – from architecture and interiors to art, craft, graphic design and illustration. Regular features on the site include Australian Homes every Wednesday, and Interviews with talented local creative people every Friday.
Started up in early 2008 by Lucy Feagins, the site has been featured in publications including The Age, The Good Weekend, Urbis, Design Quarterly, Inside Out Magazine, Real Living Magazine and Rue Magazine. In 2009 it was named by The Times (UK) as one of the world’s Top 50 design blogs.
Lucy has contributed design news and feature stories to various Australian magazines. For her Creative Mornings lecture, Lucy will be giving a presentation on 'the new image economy' - including the value of original photography in new media, and image usage and proliferation online across such sites as Pinterest and more.
