Have you noticed that we are entering a new era of leadership? We see that companies begin to sincerely work on their relationship with people and planet next to focusing on how to do good business. It is no longer a question of 'either/or' but one about 'yes, and…'.

Such a triple bottom line does not only make businesses more successful, it also is necessary we believe. A complex, volatile, unpredictable future demands for holistic ways of thinking. We are pleased to present Guya Merkle as our next Salonière for the fourth issue of the Creative Leadership Salon.

Guya represents a new generation of business leaders who are convinced that being economically viable is not enough anymore for a company. There also must be an ethical framework for how business is done. A company in 2018 needs to create value for people and for the environment, next to making money.

Guya is the founder of Earthbeat Foundation and leads jewellery company VIERI. What makes the latter so remarkable is that all its collections are made of gold that has been produced under ethically justifiable conditions. What sounds like it should be a standard still is a rarity worldwide and made VIERI a pioneer in this specific segment of the luxury industry.

Guya will share what it takes to radically rethink a family business that has been around for generations — a challenge she already had to face in her early twenties. Guya will also give us an idea of what it means to maximize impact instead of profit. She will discuss why it is not even enough to improve working conditions for every human being involved across the entire supply chain. Guya will shed light on the challenges she had to overcome, the resistances she discovered, and the ambitions that drive her successful path.

Why are you charging for the event? How do we calculate the price? ​

We are using transparent pricing and just charging for the costs to organize the event (such as room, meals, travel, etc) that are not sponsored. We are calculating 30 participants. Should proceeds exceed actual costs amount will be transferred to the next event.

We would appreciate if you could bring a printed ticket or download it to your mobile phone to ease registration.

What is the refund policy?

If you cancel up to one month before the event, 50% of your workshop fee will be refunded. After that date we cannot refund fees for any reason, but at any time you may designate someone else to attend the workshop in your place.

Tickets prices will be refunded 100% if the workshop is canceled at the organizer's discretion.The organizer cannot be held responsible for travel reservation losses or inconvenience resulting from cancellations.

Is the event in English?

This event is going to be held in English, with assistance in German as required. Our language of choice for this events is DEnglish, even though other languages are spoken as well.
