After a series of successful workshops last year, Creative Entrepreneur Workshops returns for another series of events during 2017. Hosted by Work.Life London Fields, a great co-working space for creative entrepreneurs.
Run by Neliana Fuenmayor, founder of A Transparent Company, we invited Rosa Koolhoven aka Nikanika, Freelance Brand Designer and Blogger, to share her knowledge on identity design, branding and brand strategy. Rosa has worked for many big brands like Converse, Asics and Samsung, and she loves to pass on the things she learned by helping start-ups and smaller companies with developing their brand. Read her latest blog posts in collcaboration with Tobias Van Schneider @. Check out Nika's latest post on '8 Tips to Stay on Top of your Freelance Finances'.
For the April edition, Nika will introduce you to the world of branding and brand strategy, which will help you develop a real personality for your brand and create brand guidelines to bring your personal and business goals closer together. We will talk about the importance of design communications and consistency, discuss examples of good and bad branding, and we will look at your brand archetypes and personality.
How are we spending this Saturday together:
In the first half of the workshop, you will be introduced to the concept of being a creative + entrepreneur where Neliana will talk about balancing our creative and logical side of our brains as well as work and life. Over to Nika, she will start by introducing us the world of branding and what it entails. You will be able to see samples and discuss the main elements that are needed to build a solid foundation for your brand. We will talk about how to create a Brand personality by using Brand Archetypes, how to use your competitors to find your Brand Positioning and how all this comes together in Visual Communications. There will be a bit of interaction and some fun games as well to test your brand knowledge.
A chance to get to know each other better by having lunch together. If you would like to join us on a Pizza lunch from Martello Hall you can purchase a ticket + lunch. We will order vegetarian and vegan pizzas only. Feel free to bring your own or alternatively, you can choose from many other places in the London Fields area.
In the second half of the workshop, you will get to spend time on your own business brand by finding your brand personality by using the Brand Archetypes hand-out and you will go through the Branding Toolkit Document together with the other attendants. This is where you will gain exposure to your peers brands and ideas. This will give you a chance to present or to give feedback in a collaborative and constructive way.
By the end of the session, you will be given a downloadable working file of a Brand Guidelines document to finish at home and use it for the future in your brand communications.
Looking forwards to sharing this Saturday with you!
