About this event
What is a creative entreprenuer? Creative entrepreneurs found businesses and nonprofits that aim to improve artistic and creative industries and communities. Whether self-employed or running a business where you have clients who pay for your creative talents, whether in the form of a service or a product, then you can call yourself a creative entrepreneur. But let's talk about investment, innovation and empowerment for you!
Join Social Art and Culture and We Act Radio during Financial Literacy and Diversity Month, alongside our equity partners Arts Administrators of Color Network and aSHE Fund, as the 2023 Creative Entrepreneur Summit will resume with 75 creative entrepreneurs from DC, MD, and VA learning how to combine their visions for creating change through meaningful societal impact using venture capital concepts. Doing great things to create a better world in entrepreneurship and finance should not be mutually exclusive.

About the organizer
Social Art and Culture has existed since 2009 as a small arts organization with a strong foundation in the community and the art scene. Located in Anacostia SE, DC, we have been able to sustain programs with a supportive board, loyal and consistent strategic partners, and external funding in arts education and art-integrated learning. Social Art and Culture (SAAC) - is a 501c (3) whose mission is to use the power of the arts to educate and advance unserved and underserviced communities. SAAC's vision is to create an aperture for socially responsible artisans that collectively collaborate and participate in programs designed to reach neglected communities.
