Event description

Description

Greater Bendigo is developing an Arts and Creative Industries Strategy. Creative Conversations are an important part of the City of Greater Bendigo’s engagement during the preparation of this Strategy. We are inviting great thinkers, artists, storytellers and locals who are really making their mark in this space, to share with the people of Bendigo what they think will make Bendigo an even more creative city. We will be holding five Creative Conversations over the next six months starting with a ‘Q and A style’ panel at the Ulumbarra Theatre on Thursday 30 November at 6 pm.

Come and join Jonathon Ridnell as he 'plays Tony Jones’ and puts our panel through their paces as they give their ideas on a creative Bendigo. Just like with Q and A, as part of the audience you can participate and see your questions live up on screen.

Our panel includes:

  • Graeme Wiggins - Director Bendigo Tech School and formerly Head of Art, Design and Technology at Canberra Grammar School

  • Chris Kennett - Children’s Author, illustrator and Flash animator - currently working on Pixel Raiders and Little Golden Books’ Star Wars franchise

  • Rob McGauran - Director, MGS Architects - focused on developing the inclusive city

  • Megan Beckwith - Transmedia performance installations, combining live performance and multi-media to
develop works that explore the relationship between the physical and virtual

Network with speakers and attendees afterwards with drinks and nibbles.

This is a free public event and we encourage anyone with an interest in the arts and creative industries to come along to learn more or share your ideas and opinions.
