This entertaining and informative course will be led by local musician and musical expert, Christian Stanfield of the Side Street Steppers. Christian is an enthusiastic and high-energy educator who is sure to fascinate you with his knowledge of music history. This course will cover a brief overview of the evolution of American music with a focus on Memphis music.
This four-week course is meets on Wednesdays from 11am-12pm on 4.26, 5.3, 5.10, 5.17.
A History of American Music is offered by Creative Aging in partnership with Memphis Public Libraries and is supported by ArtsMemphis.
