About this event
Memphian Doug MacLeod is an international touring blues artist. In 2020 he won the Blues Music Award for Acoustic Artist of the Year. In 2018, MacLeod he won the Blues Music Award for Acoustic Album of the Year, ‘Break the Chain.’ MacLeod’s songs have been featured in many TV movies and in the hit show In the Heat of the Night. Renowned playwright August Wilson requested MacLeod’s soulful slide guitar in the Los Angeles opening of Gem of the Ocean. From 1999-2004, MacLeod hosted ‘Nothin’ But the Blues,’ a popular weekend blues radio show on Los Angeles’ KLON-KKJZ.
