Description
Creation Sensation, Christ Episcopal School’s summer camp, offers two options:
Three one-week camps for incoming grades Early Pre-K through 7th:
Week 1: June 8-12, 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Cost: $225
Week 2: June 15-19, 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Cost: $225
Week 3: June 22-26, 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Cost: $225
Drama Camp for ages 8-15 - Disney's Moana Jr.
June 8-26, 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. with performaces on the evenings of June 26 and 27, Cost: $575
Lunch is held from 11:30- 12:30. Campers must bring a lunch each day.
Dress is cool, casual and conservative. Athletics requires socks and sneakers.
Camp t-shirts are available for purchase but are not required. ____________________________________________________________________
Early Pre-K: Busy Bee Experiences
Students entering early Pre-K at CES will enjoy a daily schedule of arts and crafts as well as music and movement. We will enjoy opportunites for outdoor play balanced with periods of inside calming quiet time. The limited number allows us to help these young children transition to a camp experience while maintaining a routine, activities, snack, and lunch time on a schedule that is just our pace! Campers must be potty trained and already registered to attend CES Busy Bees in the fall. (Limit 12)

Pre-K – 1st Grade (Child must be turning 4 by the start of camp, for early Pre-K see above)
Students entering Pre-K through 1st grade will have a daily schedule of thematic activities that foster creativity, active learning, and exploration. Some of the activities include art, cooking, science, music, Godly Play, Movin' and Groovin', and Exploring our World. Themes will vary from week to week for those campers that are attending more than one week.

Grades 2-7 for General Sessions; Ages 8-15 for Drama Camp
Students in grades 2-7 will choose one grade-appropriate morning session and one afternoon session (with the exception of Drama Camp, which is a full-day activity.) Activities in each session will vary week-to-week for those students attending more than one week. Campers are divided into grades 2-4 and grades 4-7 (fourth grade campers may choose between the younger and older age groups).
Athletics (Grades 2-4, morning only) Campers will discover new interests and talents as they participate in games with team and individual sports. The emphasis will be on improving skills, getting exercise, and having fun. There will be canoeing, skating, hockey, basketball, and many more fun activities. Come join us and be prepared to get your heart pumping! (Class size is limited to 20.)
Art - rageous! (Grades 2-4, afternoon only) Walk on the wild side with arts and crafts. Make Rembrandts, pottery, t-shirts and hats. Campers will splatter, sculpt, build, and more with all different types of materials galore. Bring your imagination and wear old clothes. You might even get some paint on your toes! (Class size is limited to 15. Morning and afternoon sessions will be different.)
Mish Mash (Grades 2-4) Do you like to try new things? Activities in this session will vary day-to-day, from making homemade ice cream to constructing catapults, from origami to paper airplanes. Learn new games and skills, and make delicious treats. (Class size is limited to 15.)
Robotics (Grades 2-4, afternoon only) Campers will learn to build their own robots using Legos, gears, wheels, tires, electric motors, sensors, micro-switches, electrical cables, and much, much more. Campers will then learn to program their robots to become fully functional. In this class we will be using EV3 robots. (Class size is limited to 15.)
Wacky Science (Grades 2-5, morning only) Campers will learn how to be young scientists by exploring science in interactive and creative ways. We will engage in fun and craft-like science activities and experiments. (Class size is limited to 15.)
Drama Camp (Ages 8-15) There’s no business like show business! As part of Creation Sensation summer camp, we are offering a three-week drama camp for ages 8-15, ending with two evening performances of the musical, Disney’s Moana, JR. Drama Camp meets in our school theater Monday through Friday, 6/8 - 6/26 from 9:00 to 3:00. The total cost for the three-week camp is $575. Performance dates: Friday, 6/26 & Saturday, 6/27 at 7:00 p.m. Drama Director: Emma Pollet; Set & Costume Design: Mrs. Ruth Siporski; Music Director: Alyssa Carranza. (Actors must be able to attend all three weeks and both evening performances. Registration deadline for Drama is Thursday, June 4th with a limit of 38.)

Mega-Artrageous - (Grades 4-7, morning only) This includes a huge variety of art activities. Students will spend their days choosing art projects ranging from the fine arts to funky crafts. Students will investigate painting, sculpture, construction, fibers, up-cycling, and much more. During the summer camp we have the gift of time and can really be creative. Students are welcome to give suggestions on project choices, and may want to develop a special idea of their own. We are going to rock the art room this summer! (Class size is limited to 15.)
Set and Costume Design - (Grades 4-7, afternoon only) During Set design students will help produce the scenery and costuming for the drama production of Disney's Moana Jr.
Athletics (Grades 4-7, afternoon only) Campers will discover new interests and talents as they participate in games with team and individual sports. Stop-motion Animation (grades 4 -7, afternoon only) This animation technique is used to make a physically manipulated object to appear to move on its own. The object is moved in small increments between individually photographed frames, creating the illusion of movement when the series of frames is played as a continuous sequence. Students will develop their own storyboard and choose materials to create their own animated film. (Class size is limited to 12.)
