Grades 2 - 3

Students entering 2nd and 3rd grades will choose one grade-appropriate morning session and one afternoon session (with the exception of Drama and Spirit Camp which are full day activities.)  Activities in each session will vary week-to-week for those students attending more than one week.

Athletics (Grades 2-3) Campers will discover new interests and talents as they participate in games with team and individual sports. The emphasis will be on improving skills, getting exercise, and having fun. There will be canoeing, skating, hockey, basketball, and many more fun activities. Come join us and be prepared to get your heart pumping! (Class size is limited to 20.)

Art - rageous! (Grades 2-3) Walk on the wild side with arts and crafts. Make Rembrandts, pottery, t-shirts and hats. Campers will splatter, sculpt, build, and more with all different types of materials galore. Bring your imagination and wear old clothes. You might even get some paint on your toes! (Class size is limited to 15. Morning and afternoon sessions will be different.)

Mish Mash (Grades 2-3) Do you like to try new things? Activities in this session will vary day-to-day, from making homemade ice cream to constructing catapults, from origami to paper airplanes. Learn new games and skills, and make delicious treats. (Class size is limited to 12.)

Robotics (Grades 2-3, afternoon only) Campers will learn to build their own robots using Legos, gears, wheels, tires, electric motors, sensors, micro-switches, electrical cables, and much, much more. Campers will then learn to program their robots to become fully functional. (Class size is limited to 15.)

*NEW* Wacky Science (Grades 2-5, morning only) We are very excited to offer Wacky Science this year!  Campers will learn how to be young scientists by exploring science in interactive and creative ways. We will engage in fun and craft-like science activities and experiments. (Class size is limited to 15.)

Drama Camp (Ages 8-16) There’s no business like show business! This summer, as part of Creation Sensation, we are offering a three-week drama camp, ending with two evening performances of You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown.  Drama Camp will meet in our school theater Monday through Friday, June 5-23, from 9:00 – 3:00. Performance dates: Friday, June 23 and Saturday, June 24 at 7:00 p.m. Ticket prices: $5 for children and $10 for adults. Drama Director: Mrs. Peggy Aultman; Set & Costume Design: Mrs. Ruth Siporski; Music Director: Ms. Emily Wright. (Attendance at all three weeks is required.)

Wildcat Spirit Camp  (Grades 2-5)  Do you love to cheer?  Do you find yourself dancing all the time?  Then come join us to learn new routines and cheers while you brush up on your pom technique -- all while making new friends and expressing your school spirit!

Mrs. Mumford and Mrs. Domingue will teach and develop the basic skills of cheerleading and dance.  Campers will enjoy learning a variety of sideline cheers and chants, basic stunts, and jumps. They will also learn valuable dance techniques including leaps and turns.  Campers will have an opportunity to show off their new skills at a special performance on the final day of camp.

Grades 4 - 7

Students entering grades 4 through 7 will choose one grade-appropriate morning session and one afternoon session (with the exception of Drama and Spirit Camp which are full day activities.)  Activities in each session will vary week-to-week for those students attending more than one week.

Mega-Artrageous - (Grades 4-7) This includes a huge variety of art activities. Students will spend their days choosing art projects ranging from the fine arts to funky crafts. Students will investigate painting, sculpture, construction, fibers, up-cycling, and much more. During the summer camp we have the gift of time and can really be creative. Students are welcome to give suggestions on project choices, and may want to develop a special idea of their own. We are going to rock the art room this summer! (Class size is limited to 15.)

Athletics (Grades 4-7, afternoon only) Campers will discover new interests and talents as they participate in games with team and individual sports. The emphasis will be on improving skills, getting exercise, and having fun. There will be canoeing, skating, hockey, basketball, and many more fun activities. Come join us and be prepared to get your heart pumping! (Class size is limited to 20.)

Advanced Robotics (Grades 4-7, morning only) Campers will learn to build their own robots using Legos, gears, wheels, tires, electric motors, sensors, micro-switches, electrical cables, and much, much more. Campers will then learn to program their robots to become fully functional. In this class we will be using the more advanced NXT robots. Robotics experience is preferred but not required. (Class size is limited to 15.)

Stop-motion Animation (grades 4 -7, afternoon only) This animation technique is used to make a physically manipulated object to appear to move on its own. The object is moved in small increments between individually photographed frames, creating the illusion of movement when the series of frames is played as a continuous sequence. Students will develop their own storyboard and choose materials to create their own animated film. (Class size is limited to 12.)
