Description

Workshop Description

How can we bring out the most from each and every one of our TGH participants? It can be a challenge to find the right technique to engage all students, backgrounds, and learning-styles at the same time.

In this workshop, you will learn tools, ideas, and practices that you can use to increase engagement of all of your participants in a class. Our interactive workshop will not only help you in utilizing different learning methods and creating more interactive learning spaces, but it will also help in creating safer spaces where all our participants can thrive and learn.

Directions & Parking

Boston Cares is very easy to reach by public transportation. Take the Green Line or the Orange Line to North Station. Use the Valenti Way exit and then turn right. From the Purple commuter rail, exit North Station from the East exit. Walk to Causeway Street, cross Causeway and turn right. The next street is Canal Street (look for the CVS at the corner). Turn left. Our office is one block away at the corner of Valenti Way and Canal Street.

90 Canal Street is also a short walk from Aquarium Station on the Blue Line and Haymarket Station on the Green/Orange Line. The closest Red Line station is Charles/MGH.

There are meters for two-hour parking on both sides of Canal Street. Please be advised that evening parking on game nights is extremely expensive - up to $50. Most garages have deals if you arrive early and leave before 6 p.m. We try to plan New Volunteer Orientations and meetings when there is not a game scheduled, but it's prudent to check the TD Garden Calendar for event dates if you plan to drive in during the evening.

Before you drive in, we suggest checking Parkopedia, which has current rates and locations of parking options in the area of 90 Canal. You plug in the date and times you will be parked and it will show you the local options and prices.
