Event description
Join the Florida Restorative Justice Association for its biennial statewide conference in South Florida!

About this Event

The Florida Restorative Justice Association's (FRJA) vision is to create more safety and healthy connection in society. FRJA works to facilitate a powerful social movement of enhanced justice, accountability, compassion, and equality by strengthening a regional network of restorative practitioners, trainers, advocates and students.

Join us as we bring together restorative justice practitioners, academics, advocates, and public servants for community, learning, and planning a more restorative Florida. FRJA's second biennial conference, Creating Florida's 2020 Restorative Vision, will be held at the St Benedict's Episcopal Church in Plantation, Florida, on Friday, January 31st from 6:30-9 PM and Saturday, February 1st from 9 AM- 6 PM. For a small additional cost, there will be a 4-hour RJ training opportunity during the afternoon on Friday, January 31st. Friday evening includes a dinner and welcome reception. Saturday, February 1st includes a full day of presentations, workshops, and working group sessions, including breakfast and lunch.

If you are interested in presenting, please click here to submit a proposal by October 31st: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/8HQSFDL

Each registrant will get a complimentary year membership to FRJA!

We will be providing a light dinner on the first evening, January 31st, and breakfast and lunch on February 1st. These meals are included as part of your conference registration.

There is no minimum age and we encourage students who are seeking to learn more about restorative justice to attend. Students receive a discounted sliding scale rate.

What are my parking options at the conference?

Parking is free.

How can I contact the organizer with any questions?

Email us through the "Contact Us" page on the FRJA website at www.floridarestorativejustice.com or contact Dan Kahn, the FRJA Executive Director at restorativejusticeflorida@gmail.com.

What's the refund policy?

There are no refunds for this event. We are a small, non-profit organization and registration fees pay for the event and, in case the event has to be cancelled, the past registration fees will enable us to put on the event at a later date. Should the event be cancelled by FRJA, each registrant's ticket will be transferred to the rescheduled event. Should you be unable to attend the event or the rescheduled event, you may transfer your ticket to another person. Please contact us should you need to transfer your ticket.
