Creating Engaging Content for your Therapy Website
Fri, May 19, 2017, 10:30 AM – 12:00 PM CDT
Many therapists face the question of how to write about their work in a meaningful way while also connecting with potential clients. In the process of describing our therapeutic approach we may risk alienating clients through language that feels clinical and impersonal. Given that many clients search for therapists on the internet, it’s important to describe ourselves and our work in a way that appeals to clients and their needs.
Towards the goal of creating authentic and meaningful engagement with potential clients I’m offering a writing workshop for therapists. This is both an educational and hands-on workshop focused on helping therapists create copy for their website pages, Psychology Today profile, or other directory listings.
Come prepared to write! Through questions and writing prompts you will be encouraged to write about clients you want to help, pain they may be experiencing, how you are qualified to help, and what benefits therapy can offer them.
By the conclusion of the workshop you will have created 1 page worth of copy which could be used for your website About page, specialty page, or directory listing.
*I will provide paper handouts with question prompts for writing on. If you prefer, you may bring your own notebook or laptop to write in.
*Please note ticket sales are final and refunds will not be issued.
