Sat, March 25, 2017, 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM EDT
This workshop is for contractor and homeowners who are trying to create rain gardens that help solve stormwater runoff problems, provide habitat for pollinators and helps the environment. We have great instructors who will make the workshop informative, educational and fun.
With this class, you learn the basic steps and tools to create and maintain a rain garden that delights everyone who sees it for years to come.
The instructor Zoe Clarkwest, MLA, is a principal and owner of Rain Underground, LLC. She brings years of community focused design experience and of surface stormwater management design and has worked with local governments, non-profits, and private sector clients. Rain Underground’s projects include multiple rain gardens and conservation landscapes in the Baltimore region, as well as the highly designed plantings for the U.S. National Arboretum’s Grass Roots Exhibit. Ms. Clarkwest’s objective for stormwater management design is to meet client goals while assuring long-term success of the plantings.
