“Creating an Inclusive and Caring Learning Environment”
October 28, 2020
This course will introduce you to insights about how to create a caring and inclusive learning environment by getting back to why went into medicine by exploring concepts of Principle-Centered Medicine, exploring religion, rites, and rituals impact on healthcare, and navigating our own understanding of cultural awareness. Throughout the conference, we will observe the transition of a physician from medical student, to resident, to attending/faculty, as an outsider looking in... seeing, feeling, remembering what that was like, in order to understand the importance of gaining rapport with your learners, maximize the mentoring relationships created, and teaching strategies to foster a caring and inclusive learning environment. We Look forward to you joining us virtually!
