CREATING A CULTURE OF RECOVERY IN PAHRUMP, NEVADA

Funded by SAMHSA (the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration), Foundation for Recovery’s Nevada Statewide Recovery Network Project aims to promote, support and enhance the addiction and mental health recovery community and peer recovery support organizations and services throughout Nevada. This training will focus on creating cultures of recovery in your community and/or organizations.

THE KEY TO MAKING A DIFFERENCE IN YOUR COMMUNITY COMES THROUGH AWARENESS, SUPPORT AND STAYING INFORMED.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES INCLUDE:

  • DEFINING A CULTURE OF RECOVERY
  • RECOGNIZE THE CULTURE OF ADDICTION VS. CULTURE OF RECOVERY
  • PLAN THE PROCESS OF CREATING A CULTURE OF RECOVERY IN YOUR COMMUNITY AND/OR ORGANIZATION

Naloxone training will be provided following Foundation for Recovery training

Foundation for Recovery

Foundation for Recovery (FFR) is a 501c3 nonprofit organization in Las Vegas, Nevada. FFR is the first of two Recovery Community Organizations in Nevada for substance use disorders (the only one in Southern NV). FFR actively promotes the positive impact of addiction recovery in the community, and works to create opportunities for those in recovery.

FFR provides peer recovery support services to individuals seeking successful long-term recovery from the disease of addiction. Peer Recovery Support Services help individuals to successfully make the life changes necessary to recover from disabling disease of addiction.
