Dive into creativity with this hands-on workshop led by local favorite artist Caasi of Caasi Lee Designs, known for her stunning ocean resin pieces. Now it’s your turn to craft your own!
Using table-top resin, you’ll learn how to make waves, and create a beautiful, one-of-a-kind serving board, perfect for gifting (or keep for yourself!). Start with an acacia wood cutting board, then blend colors to create the depth of the ocean and finish with crashing waves.
A live demo will walk you through the process before you get started on your own project. To practice each participant will have a small board to get the feel of the material.
All materials are included in the workshop fee. Includes both the long cutting board and small practice board.

✔️Project items will not be able to leave with you. Table-top resin takes about 5-7 days to cure. Trays also require that the drips be sanded. I will take care of these steps for you and have your board ready for pickup one week after the workshop date, or you can choose to have your items shipped to you for $10 (choose his add-on at checkout)
About the Artist
Caasi is a lifelong creative, born into a family of Makers and now known for her vibrant ocean resin art that blends the cool calm of the Pacific Northwest with a hint of tropical flair. She lives in Gig Harbor with her husband, 12-year-old twin boys, and their Cavalier King Charles pup, River. Nearly two years ago, Caasi and her business partner, Salena Ausburn, opened Local Whimsy, a charming boutique on Gig Harbor’s historic waterfront. What began as selling her work at markets and local shops has grown into a community-centered space built to Gather ~ Create ~ Shop. Inside Local Whimsy, you’ll find a curated selection of locally made goods and small businesses, all rooted in creativity and connection.
