Spend an evening in community writing, making art, and sending the energy of lovingkindness to yourself and the world.

Join writer and creative facilitator Amanda Miska for an evening in community crafting, writing, and joining in a group meditation. No writing, art, or meditation experience necessary!

Learn about the origin and basis of the Metta/Lovingkindness Meditation, and using prompts, create one that is personal to you, and turn it into a piece of visual art. There will be tons of suggestions and examples, and we will share in a final group meditation at the end. Guest artist Jayme Cawthern will provide tips, tutorials, inspiration, and downloadable images to help you make your metta meditation into a physical piece of art to have in your space as an encouragement and reminder.

What to bring: a piece of paper and something to write with, art supplies of your choice (markers, crayons, special paper, paints, calligraphy pens, stickers--whatever lights you up!). Children welcome. (Inner children especially welcome).

The event will take place on ZOOM but your presence on camera is completely optional. Come as you are, in whatever capacity.


***This event is FREE but a $5 donation is optional, all funds going toward a Philly Mutual Aid group to help feed and support folks this month.
