Event description

Description

Kids, teens and families are invited to join Project Giving Kids for our second annual Create the Change Day Bay Area on Sunday, October 21st from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the Computer History Museum in Mountain View where we will have fun and make a difference all in the same afternoon. Join us to assemble hygiene kits for people in need, craft toys for shelter animals, write notes of inspiration, and so much more. Whether age 3, 13, or 30, help us spread messages of hope and leave with a lot of ideas for how you can Create the Change every day. There will also be music, snacks, raffle prizes, and other fun to keep the excitement going all afternoon! Projects will benefit local nonprofits including Ecumenical Hunger Program, Peninsula Humane Society, Bay Area There With Care, EAH Housing, and more!

FAQs

Are there ID requirements or an age limit to enter the event?

Children under 15 MUST be accompanied by an adult. Waivers are required for all participants, and must be signed by a parent or guardian for those under age 18.

What are my parking options at the event?

There is free parking in front of the museum.

What can I bring to the event?

Bringing something to the event is not required, but if you want to add to the impact of the day, we will be collecting items for some of our nonprofit partners at the event to assist them in their work. Specifically, we will be accepting the following donations at Create the Change Day 2018:

  • New and gently used books for the African Library Project
  • New sneakers for local students living in poverty served by My New Red Shoes
  • Nonperishable food donations for clients served by the Ecumenical Hunger Program
  • Christmas toys for children served by Hope's Corner

What if I know someone who wants to come but they can't afford the ticket?

Project Giving Kids wants ALL kids, teens and families who want to make a difference to join us to #CreateTheChange! If the cost of the ticket is a concern, just email us at info@projectgivingkids.org and we'll provide you with a discount code to cover the cost.

What are the ticket fees used for?

Ticketing fees are used to both defray the cost of running the event (when sponsorships do not cover total costs) and also to make a charitable donation to a selected nonprofit or disaster relief effort. Children at the event will help pick the benefiting cause.

Where can I contact the organizer with any questions?

If you have any questions about the event, please contact Project Giving Kids at info@projectgivingkids.org.
