Event description

Description

Melrose Stewart is a Vice President of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy. Her recent and most ambitious project was her expert role in the remarkably successful Channel 4 television programme, ‘Old people’s Home for 4 year Olds’. She is a lecturer in the School of Sports, Exercise and Rehabilitation Sciences. She has taught widely across curricula and has championed her interest in health promotion locally and on local radio.

This a chance to explore your ideas about working across generations with a leading expert in the field and meet other profesionals interested in work on intergenrational arts projects.

CREATE meets… is a series of networking events providing practitioners with the chance to meet like-minded people from across the spectrum of arts, community development and creative and cultural practice.

These events seek to create a sense of occasion which draws people together from the broadest possible background to allow new conversations to happen, that in turn create new alliances and new ways of working.

One aim is to redefine the mainstream – by creating informal meeting points for diverse/ BAME practitioners to meet with peers especially from positions of influence in mainstream institutions that could support commissioning, collaboration and co-operation. The second theme of the Create Meets is working together and sharing resources.
