Event Details

Join SCA-Northwest for the final work event at Maplewood Playfield!

Volunteer alongside the current cohort of SCA’s Conservation Leadership Corps (School-Year) members as they work to restore healthy habitat in Seattle with monthly service events! Please join us for our last service event of the season and a celebratory BBQ as our CLC members wrap up their service term with the SCA. You will work to plant and maintain native plants at Maplewood Playfield. Optional BBQ and presentation to follow the restoration work party beginning at 1 pm.

WHERE: 10am - 2pm. Maplewood Playfield located at 4801 Corson Ave S, Seattle, WA 98119

WHAT: Volunteers will plant and maintain native plants restoring critical habitat.

BRING WITH YOU: Please wear long pants and closed-toe shoes, preferably work boots or sturdy sneakers, and bring a reusable water bottle. The event will take place rain or shine so please dress for the weather!

PROVIDED: SCA will provide coffee and hearty snacks for all volunteers, as well as project materials and gloves.A celebratory BBQ will follow the event!
