ITINERARY:

1. Create a Cohesive Visual Brand – Jennifer, 10 – 10:30 a.m.

The starting point to creating a brand that you love that effortlessly attracts your ideal clientele is to know who you are, what you represent, what sets you apart, and knowing the true value that you offer your clients. Gain clarity on your brand, whether you are about to launch a new business or rebrand your current business.

2. Content & Social Strategies – Jennifer, 10:30 – 10:50 a.m. (*incl. 10-minute break)

Great content drives traffic. Period. Learn how to develop your voice and create your own unique content. Pinterest is the #1 driver of targeted traffic to both of my websites. Learn tips & tricks to curate your Pinterest feed, and strategies to creating amazing content that will drive traffic to your site.

3. Style your brand – Jennifer, 11:00 – 11:20 a.m.

Learn how to style your brand through the art of visual storytelling. Where to source props and how to create your signature style. Composition techniques and colour theory and why they both matter in creating still life or flat lay photos that inspire.

4. Take better photos. Edit like a pro. – Jennifer, 11:20 – 12:00 p.m.

Hiring a professional brand photographer is always recommended, however, it’s important to learn how to create your own styled photos (even if you only have a smartphone), and edit them to match the look and feel of your brand. Jennifer will take you through a styled flat lay shoot using only her iPhone from start to finish including editing, iPhone tips & tricks, and which apps to use.

5. Styling & photography breakout session – 12:00 – 1:00 p.m.

Dive into Jennifer’s prop collection to create 3 separate still life or flat lay scenes to photograph for your brand. We’ll also have some greenery and florals on hand for you as well as some stations already styled and set up for you to use for inspiration or for your styled shoot. Bring a few of your own products or props for this styling and photography session. You’ll have the opportunity to also photograph Jennifer’s styled flat lay as well as our lunch table. *hint…We will have a gorgeous grazing table styled for you. And we’ll enjoy a beautiful and healthy lunch right after.

6. LUNCH & NETWORKING – 1:00 – 2:00 p.m.

7. Best practices for posting your social media content – Sarah, 2:00 – 2:30 p.m.

Did you know that social media posts with video have 48% more views? That means that if you aren’t including video in your content, you should be. Learn insights to Facebook and Instagram, how to read them and what they mean for your business and your content strategy. Developing themes for content and writing and planning content calendars.

8. Live video & breakout session – Apryl & Sarah, 2:30 – 3:20 (*incl. 10-minute break)

While many people are intimidated by the idea of live videos, they are one of the most powerful tools on social media. They offer an immediate connection to your audience and have many different implications. We will review the most popular types of live video, the equipment needed to shoot them and how to get comfortable going live! Breakout session to do a live video on site. *The studio has multiple rooms and areas so you’ll have your own space for this.

9. Video editing and apps & breakout sessions – Apryl & Sarah, 3:30 – 5:00 p.m.

Editing is perhaps the most overlooked, but most important part of video storytelling. Apryl and Sarah will review their favourite video editing programs and apps while showing you the basics of how to edit your own videos for social media. You’ll create and edit a video that you can use for your brand.
