Selected Floorwork Techniques for the Experienced Practitioner
This intensive draws together a selection of the most interesting, fun, and foundationally important techniques from Level 2 of the Core Rope Curriculum. The ties in this program are intended to expand the repertoire of the experienced practitioner and to stimulate creativity by providing tools for the exploration of new ideas and scenarios.
Topics will include:
- Fast column ties
- Bent limb ties
- Takate kote / box ties
- Advanced stress positions
- Predicament bondage
- Techniques for defeating escape artists
- Tying with bamboo
Class will run 11am-6pm both Sat and Sun (with breaks).
This course assumes significant prior experience. If you have previously taken the CRC Level 1 courses/intensive, and practiced regularly for several months thereafter, you should be ready for this course. Others should have at least 4-6 months of regular tying experience and ensure they are proficient with all of the following:
- Basic Safety
- Square Knot
- Slipped Half Hitch
- Taut Line Hitch
- Sheet Bend Rope Extension
- Lark's Head Single Column
- Lark's Head Double Column
- Double Half Hitch Second Column
- Quick Shoulder Harness
This will be a fast-paced class covering a lot of material. If you are not sure you are prepared for this class, you are encouraged to attend some of the Level 1 Review Sessions which will be scheduled in May and June.
