Crazy One Conversation #3 - ROI of Design
Event Information
Description
As creatives, we have the ability to affect business in ways we haven’t seen since the last Industrial Revolution, BUT all of that opportunity comes with the responsibility of showing the impact of our work. In-house, agency and freelancers are all struggling to find the best ways to do this so n this Conversation we will discuss how to deal with the asks to show the ROI of design, what you have been doing that has been working, what hasn’t been working and give you some new resources and connections.
CONVERSATION GUIDELINES:
I have a few simple, common-sense ground rules to help everyone be as comfortable, open, and honest as possible.
All voices are all equal: For these Conversations, everyone has an equal voice no matter your experience level, the size of the company you work for or if your title is the CEO or the intern.
This is Vegas: I want everyone to share openly and honestly, so what is discussed in the Conversations can not be shared in any public forums or on social media.
Be present: Please be present and contribute in any way you are comfortable with so we all can get as much out of this time as possible. This means turn off your notifications, mute your phone, close your email, and whatever else could distract you.
Respect everyone’s privacy: If you want to continue to talk with someone after the Conversation is over, you are welcome to do so with their permission and if they share their contact information with you.
Think of others: This is a conversation, not a lecture so make sure you give everyone who wants to participate a chance to talk by not dominating the conversation, letting other people finish talking, and think about asking as many questions as statements.
No assholes: Conversations are a safe place to share and learn. Any bullying, intimidation, sexism, hate speech, or general asshole behavior will not be tolerated, you will be removed from the Conversation immediately and will not be able to attend any future events. No exceptions. Any misconduct or questionable conduct that makes other members uncomfortable will be warned after the first occurrence and removed from the Conversation after the second occurrence. No exceptions.
