ABOUT OUR GUEST SPEAKER, KABIR AKHTAR:

KABIR AKHTAR, ACE is an Emmy-winning director/editor whose work includes 'The Academy Awards', 'Arrested Development', 'Crazy Ex-Girlfriend', 'New Girl', 'Speechless', and 'Unsolved Mysteries'.

A three-time Emmy nominee, Kabir won the award in 2016 for editing the pilot of 'Crazy Ex-Girlfriend', and is directing his third episode of the show this fall. The pilot is one of ten he has edited that have gone to series. He has also directed comedy segments of the Academy Awards and the Primetime Emmy Awards, as well as episodes of the half-hour comedy series 'Mumbai Calling', distributed internationally by HBO.

ABOUT THE LA ACTORS TWEETUP:

The LA Actors Tweetup, hosted by Carrie Daniel and Ben Whitehair, provides a fun and relaxed atmosphere for entertainment industry people to connect and was recently named a “must follow” organization by Backstage. We convene every 3 months or so to share libations and compare notes on our plans for world domination. We also bring in an industry expert for an informal Q & A style interview that lasts about 60 minutes.
