As the world becomes more technology driven some of us are hiding behind our brick and mortars. Start using technology to your advantage and introduce the world to your small business! Create a story, share the love you have for your business, introduce your co-workers, and yes...even upload giant photos of the food you’re eating for lunch. Let the world fall in love with you and your business just as much as you have. BE IN A RELATIONSHIP with your blog.

Speakers:

Jenni Bost of A Well Crafted Party & Portland Bloggers has a background in print Journalism and after her newspaper went the way of the dinosaurs, she began working as a freelance writer. Eventually, she began sharing her creative endeavors and life events with an online community on her blog, A Well Crafted Party. Last year she helped to build a real-life community with local bloggers. The Portland Bloggers’ group and website has become a way for bloggers and businesses to help each other grow and thrive. Blogging is now part of her full-time career as a freelance writer, graphic designer, event stylist, and media assistant.

Lynnette Fusilier is connector-in-chief at Neighborhood Notes. Her degree in psychology, experience in sales and marketing, and work as a freelance writer didn't help as much as she hoped when she launched Neighborhood Notes in 2008. What did help? Her resourcefulness, tenacity, and ability to recognize, learn and rebound from failure. Coffee also played a notable role in Lynnette's past (and continued) success as an entrepreneur.

Suzannah Hamlin Stanley is a blogger, social media enthusiast, Portland Bloggers group organizer, and soon-to-be-published author of a sewing book. She started her blog, Adventures in Dressmaking, in 2009 when, after a couple months of post-grad-school underemployment and idle time, she found herself sewing and home dec and furniture re-doing all the time. A friend suggested she start a blog and keep track of all her projects on it, and it stuck! It’s grown to reach a great community of inspired and inspiring DIY, sewing, fashion, and décor enthusiasts, and she loves how she can spread the word through simple tutorials and sharing my projects.

Colleen Wright is a digital marketing strategist helping companies as large as Intel and as small as a Dental Office get results through digital marketing. Colleen also teaches individuals on a one-on-one basis how to achieve results through the Internet. She received two business degrees from Portland State in Marketing and Advertising management and has been a marketing veteran for over 20 years.

Sam Rosen started her blog as a creative outlet during her senior year of college because she wanted something different from her schoolwork. It became a place for her to learn more about herself and what she wanted after graduation. It also gave her the opportunity to meet creative and like-minded people. Sam's blog focuses on fashion, food, events, and planning her September wedding. Recently Sam took a job in non-profit events and her blog still provides as a fashion focused outlet.
