Event description
Civilian Response to Active Shooter Events and Stop The Bleed Training. Training will include active scenarios and wound treatment practice

About this Event

What would you do if an active shooter was in your midst?

Community Responders will be offering the Civilian Response to Active Shooter Events (C.R.A.S.E.) course on Saturday, March 7th along with Stop The Bleed training beginning at 12:30pm. The CRASE course is designed to provide preparation and a plan for individuals and organizations on how to more proactively handle the threat of an aggressive intruder or active shooter event. Stop The Bleed teaches participants how to help others suffering from life-threatening injuries. This FREE event is open to the public but registration is required.

LOOKING FOR CPR CERTIFICATION AS WELL? For this event only, we are offering the ability for individuals to take a CPR classroom portion online, and come in to complete the skills to receive certification for only $10. This is open to the public but registration and payment are required in advance. Participants of the Free classes can benefit from this special, as well as those who may not be able to attend the CRASE and STB classes, but would like to come in and complete the skills part ( beginning at 3pm).

PLEASE NOTE: The STB portion includes skills practice involving simulated "bleeding" wounds that require the use of a tourniquet or wound packing.
