Beginning today, Cranbrook Institute of Science will be open every day, including Mondays, through Labor Day, along with daily planetarium programs through September 3.

With the much-anticipated total solar eclipse arriving August 21, summer at Cranbrook Institute of Science is shaping up to be truly astronomical, with a variety of events and attractions to fill up every day of the week. Guests can visit the Acheson planetarium to see the newest feature show about eclipses, entitled Totality. Solar eclipse event details will be released as summer progresses.

The exhibit Tutankhamun: “Wonderful Things” from the Pharaoh’s Tomb, will offer the chance to discover the treasures of ancient Egypt until September 3, 2017. And don’t miss Friday night Bat Walks, where guests will search for and learn about bats during 45-60 minute trail walks.

Admission to the museum is free after 5pm the first Friday of every the month through June 2018
