FREE Webinar for NYSCA Grantees Only.
Presented by David Watson, Esq., Sr. VP of Legal Accountability & Compliance Services and NYCON General Counsel
A good set of personnel policies not only contributes to a positive working environment but also can serve as an excellent risk management tool. In this session you will discover the essential elements of a strong set of personnel policies for a nonprofit corporation as they relate to New York State law and federal statutes, including the Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA), the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), and the employee-at-will doctrine. Other topics to be covered include critical issues associated with sexual harassment, probation periods, and progressive discipline.
This webinar session will consist of a 90-minute presentation and a 30-minute question and answer session. Please come prepared with your specific Personnel Policy questions and our legal team will be there to assist you.
